Learn the story behind Turn to the Sun
Hi there! I'm Lauren, the owner of Asbury Alterations (Formerly: Turn to the Sun Tailoring). While the name has shifted to reflect my service area, the ethos of Turn to the Sun remains at the core of my business and lifestyle practices. I've always had an affinity for sunflowers, and am a bit of a nerd when it comes to linguistics. The word for sunflower in French is "tournesol." Etymologically speaking, this translates to something along the lines of "turn to the sun," which perfectly encapsulates my philosophy on life: when in doubt, turn to the sun. My super cool graphic designer friend, Adrian Librojo, designed the gorgeous logo that you see above with both the sun and a sunflower in mind— and I honestly think it couldn’t be any more perfect (but I guess I'm a little biased)!
